Former Big Brother Naija housemate Handi Danbaki has spoken out after a disturbing incident at a live performance in Ibadan, where she was allegedly grabbed by a male fan while performing on stage.
The incident reportedly occurred during a set at the Jameso event held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Eleyele Polo Club in Oyo State. Handi performed alongside her twin sister, Wanni Danbaki, who together are widely known in the entertainment space as Wanni x Handi.
According to reports and a video shared online, the sisters took the stage in matching outfits and engaged the crowd during their performance when the situation escalated.
To connect with fans, Handi moved closer to the audience while dancing. However, the moment turned chaotic when a male attendee allegedly reached out and touched her inappropriately.
The incident immediately triggered a physical reaction from the DJ, who struck the fan multiple times on the head in response.
Following the video’s viral circulation, Wanni also addressed the situation on social media, strongly condemning the act and calling for an end to harassment against women in public spaces.
She wrote:
“So last night, when the Energy queens were performing, a retard grabbed her (Big H) boobs and she KNOCKED some sense into empty head! Stop molesting women! Stop harassing women! Stop groping women! STOP!”
The message has since sparked widespread discussion online, with many users expressing support for the sisters and condemning the alleged assault.
Handi and Wanni first gained national attention when they appeared on Big Brother Naija Season 9, where they competed as a duo under the name Wanni x Handi. Their energetic personalities, strong bond, and performance background made them standout contestants throughout the season.
The twins, Wanni Danbaki and Handi Danbaki, are identical sisters from Kaduna State. Before their rise to reality TV fame, they had already begun building careers in media and later transitioned fully into DJing and live entertainment.
Since leaving the BBNaija house, they have continued to perform at events across Nigeria and have maintained a growing presence in the entertainment industry, often branding themselves around their shared identity as performers.
The latest incident has once again brought attention to the issue of crowd safety and physical boundaries during live performances, particularly for female entertainers in high-energy environments.
While neither Handi nor Wanni has provided further detail beyond the initial reaction, the video continues to circulate widely, fueling broader conversations about respect, safety, and audience conduct at public events.
