Veteran Nollywood actor and broadcaster Patrick Doyle has shared joyful news with fans, announcing the birth of a baby girl with his new wife, Funmilayo.
Taking to Facebook on Saturday, the respected screen star expressed deep gratitude to God while revealing that the child, named Omayinuwa Mayen Harriet Doyle, was born on Friday at about 10:40 am.
“To the glory of God, I announce the precious addition of a female child to my quiver,” he wrote.
“OMAYINUWA MAYEN HARRIET DOYLE was born yesterday at about 10:40 AM. Mother and child are doing well and daddy is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to God Almighty.”
The announcement has since sparked warm reactions across social media, with fans and colleagues flooding his page with congratulatory messages.
The news comes years after his highly publicised split from Nollywood actress Ireti Doyle. In 2023, she confirmed during an interview with Chude Jideonwo on WithChude that their marriage had officially ended.
“We are officially divorced,” she said at the time.
The former couple, who married in 2004 and share children, had long been the subject of speculation before the separation was publicly confirmed.
Following the divorce, Patrick Doyle moved on and remarried in early 2023 — and now, the arrival of his newborn daughter marks a fresh and joyful chapter in his life.
