Nollywood actress Seun Osigbesan has been publicly praised by her husband for financially supporting their home for several years during a difficult phase in their marriage.
The testimony was shared at a church event celebrating the actress’s 40th birthday. A video from the event has since circulated online, drawing attention to the husband’s remarks about their past struggles.
Her husband, a senior pastor at Gracemade Christian Center, said she handled the household finances when he had no stable income.
He stated that this period lasted for about seven years and that she remained consistent throughout.
“You know, if I need anything, I am very comfortable to ask her because I know that she will come through. Even when I did not have anything, she was consistent and never complained. She carried a lot of burden, real bills, for at least seven years and never complained,” he said.
He also recalled the level of hardship the family experienced during that time, including difficulty meeting basic needs.
“There was a time in our family when we could not afford diapers, and she used black nylon as diapers for the children. That went on for weeks. At a point, what the family ate was pap for breakfast, pap for lunch and pap for dinner,” he said.
According to him, Seun Osigbesan did not express frustration or make him feel inadequate during the period.
“She never said, ‘What kind of man is this?’ She never made me feel like I was failing. She was just that kind of person, very tolerant and deeply supportive,” he added.
He described her as a strong partner and asked the congregation to acknowledge her.
“I do not know where they made her from, but she is an amazing woman. Please help me thank her,” he said.
Seun Osigbesan is known for her role in the television series The Johnsons, which aired on Africa Magic from 2012 to 2024. She left the show in 2022.
She was ordained as a pastor in 2023.
