Reverend Stellamaris Ajetomobi has sparked online conversations after stating that intimacy was the primary reason she got married.
In a video that has since gone viral, the Vice President of The Men of Issachar Vision Inc. explained that she did not enter marriage out of material need, noting that she already had access to basic necessities before getting married.
“What do you think I came to look for in my husband’s house? It’s sex,” she said.
Ajetomobi emphasized that intimacy is a central responsibility within marriage and cannot be delegated or outsourced.
“This assignment, this is the core assignment. I can’t pay anybody,” she added.
She further stated that such intimacy is exclusive to her husband, stressing that engaging in it outside marriage goes against her beliefs.
“If I do it with any other man, God will frown at it,” she said.
In contrast, she noted that other aspects of domestic life can be shared or supported by others, including cooking, laundry, and academic support for children.
“You can help me cook. You can help me wash clothes. You can help me with my children’s homework. I pay teachers to do that,” she explained.
Her remarks have since triggered mixed reactions on social media, with some agreeing with her perspective on marital roles, while others have questioned or challenged her views.
