Nollywood star Funke Akindele has opened up about her thoughts on body enhancement procedures, revealing that while she admires Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), she is unlikely to undergo the process herself.
Speaking during a recent appearance on The Morayo Show, the award-winning actress admitted that her low tolerance for pain has held her back from considering surgery, despite finding certain enhancements appealing.
“I love to see beautiful women with beautiful bodies. I actually like BBL, the skinny ones not the big ones. I love the flat tummy and liposuction. I want to do it but I don’t have the mind,” Funke Akindele said.
While expressing support for women who choose cosmetic procedures, she advised caution and moderation.
“I am not against BBL. If you want to enhance your beauty, go ahead but don’t overdo things. Be careful,” she added.
Beyond beauty standards, the Jenifa star also reflected on the impact of fame on her personal life, describing herself as someone who feels emotions intensely.
She referred to herself as an “extremist” who loves deeply but acknowledged that her strict and disciplined nature has affected her relationships, sometimes leading her to distance herself from people she once cared about.
Funke Akindele further highlighted the emotional cost of success, noting that fame often comes with isolation.
“It is actually lonely at the top because if you want to remain at the top, you have to be guarded and disciplined. It is going to be very boring because you won’t have friends.”
She concluded by stating that she is still learning how to better manage relationships, while emphasizing that maintaining her mental health remains her top priority.
