Businessman Olakunle Churchill has publicly dismissed reports claiming he has separated from his wife, actress Rosy Meurer, describing the circulating stories as false and misleading.
In a detailed statement shared on Instagram under the title “FALSE DIVORCE CLAIMS AND PUBLIC MISINFORMATION,” Churchill addressed the speculation directly and rejected claims that there is any ongoing divorce process involving them.
He stated that the reports being shared online are not accurate and should not be taken seriously.
“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such,” he wrote.
Churchill also clarified the nature of their union, stating that they never had a court or church wedding. According to him, their relationship was formalised through an introduction ceremony only.
“There was no legally recognised marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction,” he explained.
He argued that because of this, claims of a divorce are not legally or factually accurate.
Churchill further questioned reports suggesting that divorce proceedings had taken place without his awareness, saying he had not been served any documents.
“I was never served. So I ask a simple question: what exactly is being presented to the public, and how was it obtained?” he said.
In his statement, he also criticised what he described as misinformation being circulated online, suggesting that some of the narratives being shared were not coming from informed sources.
He added that claims about divorce documents being produced within a short timeframe were unreliable and should be treated with caution.
Churchill also addressed broader personal issues, including his past relationship with actress Tonto Dikeh, noting that both parties have moved on and chosen forgiveness.
He said any past disputes should not be used to fuel public speculation or online narratives.
“If Tonto offended anyone, it should be me alone… we have both chosen to forgive each other,” he stated.
He further pushed back against suggestions that Rosy Meurer’s role in his life was being exaggerated in public discussions, saying he did not agree with that narrative.
Churchill added that private family matters should not be turned into public controversy or misrepresented on social media.
The clarification comes amid renewed online discussions about his marriage, with rumors of separation circulating across social platforms in recent days. Both Churchill and Meurer have faced similar speculation in the past, which they have repeatedly denied.
For now, Churchill’s latest statement appears aimed at shutting down the current wave of rumors and reaffirming that there is no divorce process involving him and his wife.
