Nollywood actress Victoria Adeboye has shared her honest views on relationships, stressing that personal happiness should come before societal expectations.
Speaking in an interview on Biola Adebayo Ent TV, the actress made it clear that she does not impose her beliefs on others regarding love and marriage.
“People should do whatever works for them when it comes to relationships. People are free to get married or remain single, as long as you are happy, that’s what matters most,” she said.
Adeboye emphasised that her priority is peace of mind, noting that she is unwilling to sacrifice it for any relationship.
“I can’t trade my peace of mind for anything in this world, that’s why I do whatever works for me,” she added.
Reflecting on recent breakups she has witnessed, the actress admitted that such experiences have made her reconsider her outlook on love at times.
“I have seen some people breaking up with each other recently, and it made me want to give up on love,” she said.
Despite this, she revealed that when she does fall in love, she does so wholeheartedly.
“I’m not a preacher of love, but if I love a man, I fall in love completely like a fool,” she admitted.
Adeboye also addressed public perception, urging fans not to judge her based on the roles she plays in movies.
“People shouldn’t judge me by the bad girl roles I play in movies, I’m a lover girl in real life,” she said.
Her remarks have sparked conversations online, with many relating to her emphasis on self worth, emotional balance, and the importance of choosing what works best individually in relationships.
