Disc jockey and music executive DJ Big N has officially launched his own record label named First Row Records.
The Mavin Records DJ announced the development in an Instagram post, describing the label as the result of years of experience, growth, and mentorship in the music industry.
“Almost two decades immersed in the heartbeat of music and learning from one of the greatest @donjazzy, the time has come,” he wrote.
“I’m proud to finally unveil my own vision, First Row Records.”
DJ Big N explained that the new label represents more than just a business move, describing it as a platform built from years of understanding how stars are developed in the entertainment industry.
“This isn’t just a label, it’s the culmination of years of passion, growth, and understanding the art of building stars,” he added.
The music executive also confirmed that the label has already signed its first artiste, whose debut release is expected soon.
“We’ve already signed our first artist, and their debut record will drop very soon,” he stated.
“First Row Records is here to bring you music that resonates, elevates, and leads from the front.”
DJ Big N, whose real name is Nonso Ajufo, has remained closely associated with Mavin Records for more than a decade.
He joined the label in 2013 and became widely recognised as the official DJ for the Mavin camp while also serving as an A&R figure behind several projects and performances.
Over the years, he has worked alongside major Nigerian artistes including Rema, Ayra Starr, Tiwa Savage, and Wizkid.
His latest move now positions him among the growing list of Nigerian music executives branching out to establish independent labels within the Afrobeats industry.
