“I Am Still In APC” — Gov Fubara Denies Dumping Party For NDC Ahead Of 2027

Siminalayi Fubara has denied reports claiming he dumped the All Progressives Congress for the National Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Rivers State.

The governor reacted after reports circulated online alleging that he was considering a move to another political platform following claims that he failed to secure the APC governorship ticket for the next election cycle.

Fubara described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard them.

According to him, he remains fully committed to the APC and has not defected to any other political party.

He also warned against relying on social media speculation and politically motivated interpretations of events.

The governor stated that many people were twisting political developments to create misleading narratives about his position within the party.

“I remain a member of the APC,” he reportedly maintained while dismissing the rumors.

Fubara further stressed that his priority remains to support the party’s interests and growth, despite ongoing political conversations surrounding the 2027 elections.

The clarification comes amid increasing political realignments, defections, and speculation across Nigeria ahead of the next general election cycle.

Rivers State has remained one of the country’s most politically active states, with developments surrounding party structures and governorship succession continuing to attract national attention.
