South African content creator and reality TV personality Ash-ley Ogle made a striking impression at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards in Lagos.

The prestigious awards ceremony, hosted annually at Eko Hotel and Suites in partnership with Canal+, celebrates achievements in African television and film.

Ash-ley documented moments from her first trip to Nigeria through a series of Instagram posts that quickly drew attention online, especially for her dramatic red-carpet appearance.

For the event, the influencer stepped out in an elegant, flowing red gown that immediately became one of the standout fashion moments from the ceremony.

Sharing photos from the night, she reflected on her experience in Nigeria and the inspiration behind her look.

“First time in Nigeria, and I couldn’t just show up… I had to embody the beauty, boldness, and creativity I’ve felt since landing,” she wrote.

“Tonight’s look? Soft, regal, and unforgettable… every detail understood the assignment.”

She also playfully asked followers to suggest a Nigerian name for her, following the warm reception she received online.

The eye-catching outfit was designed by Estaz Bridal, which later shared details about the gown’s inspiration.

According to the fashion house, the design was intentionally created to command attention from every angle.

“We created a striking red piece designed to command attention from every angle,” the brand stated.

“Bold in presence, unforgettable in detail, and impossible to ignore the moment she stepped onto the carpet.”

The designers further explained that the outfit was intended to make a statement before a word was even spoken.

Ash-ley’s appearance generated positive reactions across social media, with many Nigerian fans praising her style, confidence, and embrace of Nigerian entertainment culture during her visit.

The AMVCA red carpet has increasingly become one of Africa’s biggest fashion showcases, attracting celebrities, influencers, filmmakers, and designers from across the continent.

This year’s edition featured several high-profile personalities from Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and beyond, turning the awards ceremony into both a celebration of African cinema and a major cultural fashion event.
