“Men Can Love You and Still Cheat” — Shank Comic Shares Controversial Views on Infidelity

Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Shank Comic has sparked online conversations after sharing his view that a man can genuinely love his partner and still be unfaithful.

Speaking during a recent interview, the entertainer argued that cheating does not necessarily mean a person lacks love for their partner, explaining that some men can separate their emotions from their actions.

When asked whether a man who truly loves his partner can still cheat, Shank Comic responded confidently.

“Yes, ma’am. It’s just the way it goes,” he said.

Expanding on his point, the comedian claimed that many men can maintain deep feelings for their partners while still engaging in relationships outside their commitments.

“I feel like men can multitask. They can love you and still cheat on you,” he added.

Shank further suggested that infidelity is not always driven by an intention to hurt a partner, even though he acknowledged that the emotional consequences can still be painful.

“I think they love you enough not to… I don’t think the cheating is trying to hurt you, you get me? But you getting hurt in the process is…” he said.

As he continued explaining his perspective, the comedian admitted that his argument was becoming difficult to justify and laughed at how controversial his comments sounded.

“The more I try to explain this, the more I’m sounding fully like…” he said before trailing off.

Despite his hesitation, he maintained his stance, concluding:

“But yeah, the truth is that men can love you and still like cheating.”

His remarks have since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some people agreeing that love and human behaviour can be complex. In contrast, others strongly disagree, arguing that faithfulness is a fundamental expression of genuine love and commitment.

The debate has once again sparked wider conversations about relationships, trust, loyalty, and whether love can truly exist alongside repeated acts of infidelity.
