For quite a while now there have been numerous instances of money giveaways by some celebrities on social media platforms while many other popular Nigerian personalities don’t even bother doing any freebies in online. The latter category has thus far received backlash from the fans who feel the celebs are mere stingy. However an ace Sports journalist & media marketing guru, Biola Kazeem, has leaped to the defence of those who aren’t willing to doll out by online freebies.
In his candid remark, the media marketing expert Biola Kazeem highlighted that the fans should understand that these so-called ‘celebrities’ are also human beings like the rest of all of us, and they go through same societal issues everyone else is struggling with. So their status as ‘celebrities’ is not divine in any way.
However he hinted on the fact that people should be considerate in their requests from the celebrities, as they ought to let their level of understanding be greater than the sense of entitlement. Almost every young individual on social media feel entitled to often get freebies from their favourites without having regards for their human pulse as well. He shared his opinion in a tweet on his twitter page, as captioned below:
The people many are asking for money have had their businesses closed down for a month, are on unpaid leave, have had to take pay cuts & are facing job losses. Be considerate as you & let your understanding surpass your sense of entitlement if they are unable to give.
