Multiple award-winning singer and songwriter Davido has joined Nigerians across the globe in reacting to the recent directives given by the Central Bank of Nigeria on those trading crypto currency.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, some hours ago directed Deposit Money Banks (DMBs), Other Financial Institutions (OFIs), and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) local financial institutions against having any transactions in crypto or facilitating payments for crypto exchanges.

The apex bank disclosed this in a circular signed by Director of Banking Supervision, Bello Hassan, to all DMBs, OFIs and NBFIs. The regulator noted that “breaches of this directive will attract severe regulatory sanctions.

Davido who announced that he will be starting his Bitcoin trading company three days ago has now reacted to the news.

The award-winning singer took to his official Twitter account to share a message that aims a dig at those at the helm of affairs.

According to Davido, it took just three days after his message for the Government to place a ban on any crypto currency transaction.
