Ayra Starr, the renowned Nigerian singer whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, recently vented her frustration on social media towards the organizers of the prestigious Headies Award.
Despite receiving the notable title of Best Female Artiste of the year, Ayra Starr was unable to attend the award ceremony due to her ongoing tour in North America.
Consequently, the category for Best Female Artiste was not announced or showcased on stage.
Expressing her discontent, Ayra Starr made it clear that she was disappointed and refused to accept the situation with gratitude, asserting that she would strive for nothing less than what she deserved.
She wrote;
“I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage ! Best female artist na beans ? We work hard, every single one of us ! I’ve seen Tiwa record 4 hit songs in the same night , Tems breaths and lives for music , we didn’t deserve such nonchalance! Nigeria , you didn’t raise me to settle for less
