Grace Makun, the wife of famed designer Yomi Casual, has persuaded May Edochie, Yul Edochie’s estranged wife, to drop her husband’s surname.
May poured out her emotions about the transition from 2023 to the new year, 2024, in a recent social media post, detailing how the previous year had been a difficult ride for her, characterizing it as a succession of disastrous occurrences that left her heartbroken.
May discussed the hardships and calamities she encountered in 2023, stating that the most devastating blow was the heartbreaking loss of her flesh and blood.
Despite her anguish, she admitted that she almost gave up but found strength in her faith and learnt not to question God’s decisions.
Her recent statement is coming in contrast to her ex-husband, Yul Edochie’s 2023 speech, where he expressed that the past year had been his best yet, filled with achievements and grace from God.
His positive outlook on 2023 raised eyebrows, especially considering the shared tragedy of losing a child with May. People were confused by his gratitude and joy for the year.
Taking to her comment section, Grace, known as Fabjewels on social media, advised her to get rid of the actor’s surname. She admonished the mother of three to take down his name from her IG page, grab her own identity, and flourish in it.
Praying for her, she wrote,
“Make we commot this IG name first. 2024 grav your own identity and flourish in it. May God continue to strengthen you”.
