Nollywood actress Eberechukwu Bayray Nwizu recently revealed that some producers in the Nigerian film industry now require actresses to undergo Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in order to secure movie roles.
She discussed this issue during her appearance on TVC’s Wake Up Nigeria.
Nwizu acknowledged the progress that the Nigerian film industry has made in terms of capital and infrastructure, but expressed her concern over the decline in raw talent.
She stated that producers are increasingly choosing social media influencers who they believe can effectively promote their projects.
While she understands the need for producers to make a profit,Bayray Nwizu emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between commercial success and talent.
Nwizu said, “Ten years ago, it was you’re not fair enough, you’re not tall enough, you’re not full enough; now it’s you don’t have BBL.
“The good news is that now you don’t have to conform to them. You can take advantage of any of the streaming platforms, start creating your own content, and grow. We don’t have any excuses anymore. There are always going to be those who say, you have to do this to be in my movie.”
