In a recent podcast interview, renowned Nigerian DJ Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, spoke openly about the annual title of ‘worst dressed person in Nigeria’ that she has been labeled with.
She compared herself to her sister, Teni Otedola, emphasizing her own lack of interest in dressing elegantly or beautifully.
DJ Cuppy proudly admitted that she embraces her unique sense of style, which differs from Teni’s great fashion sense.
She also expressed her dislike for cosmetics and her reluctance to wear false lashes, revealing that her crew sometimes has to persuade her to wear glam makeup.
Despite being criticized as the worst dressed person in Nigeria, DJ Cuppy remains steadfast in her personal fashion choices and unbothered by her lack of her sister’s fashion genes.
In her words, “I get voted worst dressed in Nigeria every year. I have a sister, Temi, she’s so hot. I genuinely don’t have her genes or her fashion sense. People look at us, they’re like there’s no way we are related, we are literally three years apart. I don’t care about fashion, I don’t care about glam and looks and stuff. The worst thing about my job, I always say, is glam”.
“My team has to beg me. You’ll see me on TV looking really good and then you’ll just see me in the club looking like ‘oh my God’. I don’t even like wearing makeup, I can’t even lie, I never wear lashes, I don’t do my nails”.
DJ Cuppy is currently one of the most talked about celebrities with an estimated net worth of $3million resulting from her endorsement deals, music streams and DJ duties.
