Tacha, a former contestant on Big Brother Naija, expressed her views on feminism in Nigeria during a recent interview.
She referred to the feminism practiced in the country as witchcraft, addressing a previous conflict with Mummy Zee.
A social media user had mentioned to Mummy Zee that Tacha was insulting her on a show and Mummy Zee responded; “that one wey no get sense.”
Tacha had defended Mummy Zee in response to comments made about her on a podcast, leading to a social media back-and-forth.
In her interview with Chude Jideonwo, Tacha clarified her stance on feminism and criticized the perception of it in Nigeria as being akin to witchcraft.
“So, I was literally praising this woman on my show, saying why was feminist trolling her because I love feminist then.
“I was like the feminism you people practiced in Nigeria is witchcraft because when you are supposed to come out you people won’t come out but for the wrong things you just hate men in general. That’s not what I practiced.”
