Bello Bodejo, a leader of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore group, has been brought before a Federal High Court in Abuja on charges of allegedly establishing and supporting an unlawful ethnic militia group called Kungiya Zaman Lafiya.
The three-count charge, filed by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, accused him of violating the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.
Despite pleading not guilty, Justice Inyang Ekwo ordered that Bodejo be detained in the custody of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) until his trial begins on May 27.
