Gianluca Scamacca scored twice as Atalanta defeated Liverpool 3-0 in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final match.
Scamacca dribbled past Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk in the centre, finishing Davide Zappacosta’s low cross with a nice first touch.
He scored his second around the hour mark, sidefooting Charles De Ketelaere’s pass past Kelleher.
This came just minutes after Klopp introduced Mo Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Andy Robertson from the bench.
The collapse was complete in the 84th minute, when Szoboszlai lost the ball softly in midfield, freeing Ederson, before Pasalic made amends for his earlier miss by tapping into an empty net off Kelleher’s bad save.
Jonas Hofmann and Victor Boniface came off the bench to unlock West Ham and earn Bayer Leverkusen a late 2-0 victory in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.
