Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer, admitted in a recent interview with MTV Live that her initial motivation to become a musician was because of a crush she had on a man who frequently hung out with artists.
This revelation came as she was promoting her new movie project, “Water and Garri.”
Tiwa Savage made her Nollywood debut with the film “Water and Garri,” which is set to be released on Amazon Prime Video.
The movie, produced by Everything Savage and Unbound Studios and directed by Meji Alabi, joins Prime Video Nigeria’s growing collection of high-quality Nollywood entertainment.
Although acting was originally her passion,Tiwa Savage shifted to the music industry to be closer to her crush.
She said; “I’ve always wanted to do acting. Acting was one of my first love before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy and he was always around the musician so I said ‘yeah, forget acting and just go into music.’”
