The Lagos State Police Command has issued a clarification regarding the arrest of DJ Commissioner Wysei, not DJ Switch as previously reported by some media outlets.
On Thursday, there were reports of DJ Switch being arrested and taken to court in Eti Osa for alleged fraud and assault.
However, the police have now confirmed that it was a case of mistaken identity.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer, took responsibility for the mixup and apologized for any confusion caused to outlets like Lindaikeji, BBC, and TVC, to which he had previously given incorrect information.
The command also apologized to DJ Switch.
“There is a mixup from our end. Arrested person is DJ Commissioner Wysei not DJ Switch.
“Apologies for all inconveniences to a few media outfits like Lindaikeji, BBC and TVC that I gave confirmation this morning.
Apologies to DJ Switch too. ”
