Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title are all but dead after Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Gunners expected their North London rivals would do them a favor and deduct points off the champs.
There were no goals in the first half, as the hosts dominated the most of the game.
However, City took the lead after the break thanks to Erling Haaland.
After halftime, Pep Guardiola’s side took the lead when Haaland knocked home Kevin De Bruyne’s cross.
Stefan Ortega, City’s replacement goalkeeper, produced crucial stops against Dejan Kulusevski and Heung-Min Son after replacing Ederson.
However, after Pedro Porro fouled replacement Jeremy Doku, Haaland converted the penalty to secure the victory.
