EPL: Man City to make Foden highest-paid British player

Phil Foden wins Writers’ Player of the Year award

According to the UK Sun, Manchester City is prepared to offer Phil Foden a new contract worth an impressive £375,000 per week.

Foden emerged as City’s key playmaker last season in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne, scoring 19 Premier League goals and providing eight assists en route to winning their fourth consecutive league title.

He was also honored with the FWA Footballer of the Year award for his exceptional performance.

Despite signing a five-year contract in 2022, City is looking to reward the player with an even more lucrative deal as a token of appreciation for his contributions.

If accepted, this new contract would make him the highest-paid British player in history.
