Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has been chosen as the new Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum.
Sanwo-Olu was elected to the position at the Zonal meeting held in Lagos State on Monday.
The six governors from the South-West region all agreed to elect the Lagos governor as their Chairman.
Present at the meeting were Governors Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Ademola Adeleke of Osun, and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti.
The previous Chairman of the forum was the late former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu.
