Edin Terzic has resigned from his position as Borussia Dortmund manager.
The 41-year-old led the Bundesliga team to the Champions League final, where they were defeated by Real Madrid at Wembley.
Dortmund also finished fifth in the Bundesliga standings.
According to Sky in Germany, Terzic resigned Wednesday night despite the club reaching the Champions League final this season.
Terzic met with Borussia’s high management on Thursday morning and, according to Sky in Germany, exited the meeting less than an hour ago by a rear entry at the club headquarters.
Terzic led Dortmund for two terms, the first as temporary manager at the end of the 2020-21 season and the second as permanent manager ahead of the 2022-23 season.
