“Protest is for the poor, I am rich” – Portable shuns planned protest

Portable cries out as plans to set him up come to light

Controversial Nigerian musician, Portable, stated that the upcoming nationwide protest is meant to advocate for the welfare of impoverished Nigerians.

The protest, dubbed #EndBadGovernance, is scheduled to take place from August 1 to August 10, 2024, and has been a hot topic in the media.

In a viral video on social media, Portable revealed that his involvement in the 2020 #EndSARS protest was driven by his own financial struggles, pointing out the absence of wealthy individuals like Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola in protest movements.

“They said that I joined the protest in 2020. It was then, poor thinking! Now that I have money, I am thinking like a wealthy person,” he said.

“Have you ever seen Otedola and Dangote protesting? You won’t see people like Dele Momodu. Better mind your business! I didn’t have money back then. I’m now thinking like a rich man.”
