Singer Paul Okoye, professionally identified as Rudeboy, revealed in a recent interview that his sibling, the singer Paul Okoye, had him apprehended by the EFCC in December last year.
Rudeboy, also recognized as Paul Okoye, disclosed this information during an interview with City 105.5FM, stating that his twin brother orchestrated his arrest primarily due to his way of life.
Paul Okoye mentioned that he was subjected to threats, including the prospect of a 20-year imprisonment, prompting him to ponder, “What have I done?”
Following a petition by his brother, Paul Okoye found himself in EFCC custody, where he was surprised to see his financial statements printed out.
The artist expressed disbelief that his twin brother would take such drastic action, emphasizing that engaging in fraudulent activities was not something he expected from him.
Moreover, he recounted a recent family gathering where EFCC officials, after conducting an investigation, absolved him of any wrongdoing.
Despite being cleared of the accusations by his brother Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye admitted that he did not extend an apology to him.
Discussing his lifestyle, Paul Okoye highlighted his prudent financial habits, contrasting them with his brother’s inclination towards extravagant purchases.
Furthermore, the allegations dating back to 2006/2007 were linked to purchases made using funds reportedly belonging to Peter Okoye, as revealed by EFCC findings.
