Afrobeats artist, Asake, has confessed that Wizkid, his Grammy-winning counterpart, is a major influence on his music.
He expressed his admiration for Wizkid while discussing their collaboration on Asake’s newest album, ‘Lungu Boy’.
In particular, Asake mentioned his excitement about their joint track ‘MMS’ now available on digital platforms, revealing his long-standing desire to work with Wizkid.
He wrote: “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer.
“‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it explains my music journey.”
