The APC has initiated discussions with the Senate leadership to consider reinstating Senator Ali Ndume as Chief Whip, a month after he was removed for publicly criticizing President Bola Tinubu and the party.
Ndume had claimed that the President was shielded from understanding the struggles of Nigerians, which offended the ruling party.
He was replaced by Tahir Monguno following a directive from the APC National Chairman and Secretary.
Ndume recently met with the National Working Committee for talks on his reinstatement.
Confirming the development, the APC National Chairman, Ganduje, said his apology was accepted, describing the situation as a family affair.
