Ubi Franklin, a Nigerian talent manager and best friend of award-winning music singer Davido, has earned a Bachelor of Laws – LLB (Hons) from the University of Essex.
The talent manager announced the good news on his Instagram page while recounting his bitter-sweet experience.
He claimed that in March 2020, he learned that Nigeria would be put under lockdown due to a pandemic, and as a restless person who is constantly striving for new goals, he felt that his many university degrees were insufficient and that he wanted something more.
He revealed that he was on a phone call with Pastor Tobi when he told him he wanted to give Law another shot, but this time in the UK, he encouraged him. Ubi stated that after several postponements, he woke up one morning determined to find a school, and he searched the internet desperately till he found the University he enrolled in.
He stated that he started with Legal skills and context, including Public Law, Criminal Law, Business Environment, and Business and Management Skills. From there, the journey moved to the Law of Tort, Land Law, Operations Management, Wills, and estate Administration.
The talent manager penned a heartfelt note to Pastor Tobi for always encouraging him to remember he was in school. He also appreciated Davido and his wife, Chioma, for their unwavering support and encouragement.
