Kogi: Supreme Court upholds Governor Ododo’s election

Ododo

On Friday, the Supreme Court confirmed Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo of Kogi state as the rightful winner of the election.

The appeal by Muritala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party was dismissed by the apex court.

Ajaka had contested the result of the November 11, 2023 election, which declared Ododo of the All Progressives Congress as the winner.

The five-member panel of the Supreme Court unanimously upheld the governor’s victory and rejected Ajaka’s request to void the election.
