Man City finally set to announce Haaland capture, by activating his release clause

Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, is eager for a swift conclusion to their legal dispute with the Premier League.

The team is facing 115 alleged breaches of financial rules and their case will be heard by an independent panel starting next month.

The verdict is unlikely until next year, with potential penalties such as points deduction, hefty fines, and even relegation from the league. .

Guardiola said: “I am happy that it starts soon and hopefully it will finish soon.

“For the benefit of all of us, especially the club but also other Premier League clubs and all the people who don’t wait for the sentence.

“I wish, from deep in my heart, we go to trial, and the independent panel as soon as possible releases what happened and we will accept like we always have.”
