A playful dispute over who has the most swag in the entertainment industry is currently unfolding between Ayo Makun and Deyemi Okanlawon.
Ayo Makun took to Instagram to address the issue, expressing that he has no issue with actors being inspired by his style, but urged Deyemi Okanlawon to do so respectfully.
This response was prompted by Deyemi Okanlawon‘s perceived imitation of Ayo Makun’s style.
“I have no issues with young actors trying to copy why swagger on and off the set of The Waiter. BUT @deyemitheactor, if you want to copy your MENTOR, please learn how to copy responsibly The Waiter Movie” Ayo Makun wrote.
In the comment section, Deyemi Okanlawon countered by comparing their dynamic to the historical example of Tinubu being inspired by Awolowo, suggesting that he can draw inspiration from his “ancestral mentor” Ayo Makun as well.
