A recently surfaced video reveals the moment billionaire Shade Okoya opened up about how she met her husband, Chief Rasaq Okoya. During an interview with Channels TV’s Anne Nwaghodoh Nony, Shade, now 47, shared her story of their initial encounter.
The couple has been married for 25 years and has four children. Shade, in addition to being the wife of the esteemed industrialist, is a powerhouse in her own right, serving as the Managing Director and CEO of Eleganza Group, a prominent Nigerian manufacturing conglomerate founded by her husband.
Reflecting on their first meeting, Shade explained that it started as a work-related encounter.
However, things quickly turned romantic when Chief Rasaq boldly proposed to her during their second meeting, surprising her with his straightforwardness.
In her words; “When I first met my husband, it was for work. He asked to see me again, and when we met, he went straight to the point and asked me to marry him. It felt too sudden at the time because I wasn’t expecting it.”
