Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, and the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, has set a historic milestone by becoming the first Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA.
DJ Cuppy led the Youth Action Day at the 2024 UNGA, under the theme “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”
She also treated the audience to a musical performance following her keynote address.
Her session marked the largest youth gathering ever held at the UN Headquarters, with notable figures such as the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs and the president of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves, in attendance.
