Babatunde Gbadamosi, the Action Democratic Party’s candidate for governor in the 2019 Lagos State election, has chastised Nollywood actress Funke Akindele.

He accused her of being ungrateful and spreading lies. Funke stated during an occasion that Sade Balogun, formerly Sade Gbadamosi, played an important part in her career.

She described how Balogun assisted her with her successful series Jenifa’s Diary and sponsored her film Omo Ghetto: The Saga.

In reply, Gbadamosi reflected on his earlier plan to make comedian Ayo Makun, known as AY, an ambassador for Amen Estate. Still, he changed his mind due to his sister’s influence.

“I blame my younger sister, @iyaeto for @Funkeakindele’s nauseating ingratitude and shameless lies. I was going to give the Amen Estate ambassadorship to AY.

He remembered his sister’s long chat with Funke when the actress and some stars came to see him.

“My sister started pressuring me to give her the ambassador role, since she was our “àbúrò” from back home. That she was married to Abdul-Rasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, also counted in her favour, because I had been a big fan of his since around 2003,” he said.

Contrary to what Funke said, Gbadamosi disclosed that he was the one who funded “Ọmọ Ghetto: The Saga.”
