Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has dismissed allegations of bribing officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bobrisky claimed in the recording that the bribe was intended to influence EFCC officials to drop the charges against him.
He also stated that he never spent time in prison despite being sentenced to a six-month term for naira mutilation in April 2024.
However, Bobrisky refuted the authenticity of the recording, calling it fake. He maintains that he served his term in prison as stated by the court and denies any involvement in bribery.
In an Instagram post, Bobrisky: “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira and that I was never in prison.
“I didn’t pay any EFCC money; it is a very big lie. I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information.”
