Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the United States presidency, has claimed that Iran is planning a significant assassination attempt against him.
Trump criticized the US military for allegedly allowing Iran to carry out this act.
In a statement posted on X platform, the ex-president stated that Iran had already made an unsuccessful first try to assassinate him.
According to Trump: “Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone.
“I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before. Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to the Secret Service – Zero “NO” Votes, strictly bipartisan. Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something. An attack on a former President is a Death Wish for the attacker.”
A few months ago, 20-year-old Mathews Crooks had attempted to assassinate Trump during his presidential campaign in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Crooks shot severally at the former US president but missed.
