In a press release, Air Peace has debunked the hike of one-way tickets from Lagos to Abuja to N200,000.
Their reaction followed a viral tweet claiming the airline would implement the rise on November 1, 2024.
The message claimed that the airline’s one-way flight ticket would increase from N114,000 to N200,000 beginning next month.
However, in a statement posted on Saturday, the airline stated that the tweet implying a 100% rate hike, which included an image of Chairman Mr Allen Onyema, was fake and did not originate from the airline.
It further stated that its administration has not formally announced the fare hike mentioned in the article.
The statement read, “We would like to categorically state that this information is false and did not originate from Air Peace.
“We have not released any official statement regarding a fare increase as described, and any announcements regarding our pricing would only be made through our verified channels. We encourage our valued customers and clients to rely exclusively on these platforms for accurate updates and information on fares.”
