Kanye West, Adidas reach settlement over Yeezy partnership termination

Rapper, Kanye West 'set to lose his billionaire status' after Adidas terminated his partnership

Kanye West has come to an agreement with Adidas executives after the conclusion of their Yeezy fashion partnership.

However, after enduring years of legal disputes and private mediation concerning the decision, CEO Bjørn Gulden announced during a conference call on Tuesday that all issues had been settled and that neither side would be required to pay the other any additional funds.

However, following the cancellation of the Yeezy agreement, Adidas found itself with $1.3 billion worth of unsold merchandise.

Rather than opting to destroy the inventory, the company’s executives chose to sell the shoes and allocate a portion of the revenue to charities, including the Anti-Defamation League and The Philonise and Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change.
