Gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan is celebrating his 40th birthday on November 5, 2024. Known for his profound impact on gospel music in Nigeria and beyond, Oyekan has a legacy filled with inspirational performances and worship songs that resonate with many.
He marked his new age by sharing photos and a heartfelt message of gratitude on Instagram, declaring, “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever, with my mouth will I make known His faithfulness to all generations. THIS IS 40! THANK YOU JESUS!!!”
Oyekan, often called “The Eagle,” began his musical journey under the influence of his father, Pastor Gbadebo Oyekan, a noted spiritual singer. Starting at the age of 10, Dunsin learned to play the guitar and later expanded his musical repertoire to include other instruments.
He gained recognition as a music director for the Common Wealth Of Zion Assembly (COZA) and has performed with major gospel artists like Tasha Cobbs and Kim Burrell.
