Chris Excel, a South African Twitter star, recently generated excitement on social media after directing a message at single mothers.
The self-proclaimed “Black Twitter President,” known for his outspoken demeanour, aimed at single mothers, suggesting that many of them would sleep their way to riches during the holiday season.
Chris included a photo of a guy and a woman in an intimate moment to illustrate his point. He captioned the photo, “Single mothers right now hustling Christmas clothes.”
The tweet sparked indignation and mixed reactions. While many defended single mothers, a handful agreed with Chris and mocked them.
One user wrote: “Gents, we can’t keep saying such hurtful things about single mothers when we’re the ones who make them single and run away from our responsibilities, especially black men.”
Another user added: “This tweet is very degrading and stupid, I must say. A lot of single mothers are real-life heroes, hustling and raising their kids right. This tweet coming from a man is wild. Not everything is a joke.”
