The governor reiterated his administration’s Greater Lagos vision, emphasizing the importance of creating a state that is:
- Safe
- Clean
- Prosperous
“Our aim is to make Lagos a place where opportunities abound and the quality of life improves for all residents,” Sanwo-Olu added.
Addressing Traffic and Flooding Challenges
Governor Sanwo-Olu acknowledged the significant hurdles of traffic congestion and flooding that have historically hampered the state’s development. He said his administration has strategically tackled these challenges through the THEMES+ Agenda, which prioritizes:
- Transportation
- Traffic management
- Flood mitigation
He further explained, “The provision of world-class road infrastructure will not only enhance mobility but also catalyze economic growth, improve productivity, and make Lagos more competitive globally.”
The Benefits of Upgraded Road Networks in Eti-Osa
The newly commissioned road networks in Eti-Osa are part of ongoing efforts to reduce traffic gridlock, enhance accessibility, and boost local businesses. The rehabilitated roads are expected to save residents valuable time, reduce vehicle maintenance costs, and attract investments to the area.
