Nigerian dancer, Lil Smart, has disclosed the rationale behind his intentional avoidance of a meeting with social media critic and activist, Verydarkman (VDM), in Abuja, despite having received N1 million from him for a flight ticket.
According to Lil Smart, his choice to evade VDM stemmed from a profound distrust in the activist’s motives.
The controversy arose when Lil Smart accused artists Naira Marley and Zinoleesky of physically assaulting him and attempting to abduct him. VDM intervened in the situation, offering assistance to Lil Smart in advancing the case with the Abuja Police Command.
Nonetheless, when Lil Smart did not appear in Abuja, VDM requested the return of the N1 million, indicating that he had lost interest in pursuing the allegations against Naira Marley and Zinoleesky.
In a recent update, Lil Smart elaborated on his actions, expressing doubts regarding VDM’s sudden engagement with his case, particularly in light of VDM’s approach to the circumstances surrounding the late singer Mohbad.
He recounted how VDM defended Naira Marley during the Mohbad controversy and how he incited the demand for a DNA test for the late singer’s son, Liam, rather than addressing the primary issue at hand.
In his words:
“Just because you sent me 1M doesn’t mean I will do things in your way or tell u everything I’m doing.”
I ghosted you because your concern on my case was suspicious after u label the video I posted of my attack “my words are not adding up.”
“And with the way u handled MOHBAD case turning everything to DNA test Makes it hard to let u involved in my case.”
