Nigerian rapper and fashion entrepreneur, Zlatan Ibile, has criticized his peers for shaming individuals who wear counterfeit designer items, stating that it is unfair to ridicule someone for not being able to afford authentic products.
Speaking in a viral video, Zlatan said, “People wey dey buy fake, make dem dey buy am until dey get money to buy original. Person wey wear fake today, go wear original tomorrow.”
This comes after fashion entrepreneur Rahman Jago publicly called out veteran singer Oritse Femi for wearing fake High Fashion, and Ashluxe owner Olayinka Ashogbon publicly called out singer Lyta for wearing counterfeit versions of his clothing brand.
