Rev Funke Felix-Adejumo, a televangelist, has stated that she visited Prophetess Naomi Silekunola, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Silekunola is being held in the Agodi Correctional Facility in Ibadan after a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, ordered on Tuesday that she and others be remanded in connection with the death stampede on December 18 at a Christmas funfair at Islamic High School in Bashorun, Ibadan.

Silekunola’s nonprofit, Women in Need of Guidance and Support (WINGS), collaborated with Agidigbo FM to host the funfair.
According to the authorities, 35 youngsters died in the rush, while six others were gravely injured.
The magistrate ordered that Silekunola, the founder and chief executive officer of Agidigbo FM, Oriyomi Hamzat; and principal of Islamic High School, Abdullahi Fasasi, should be remanded pending legal advice from the Oyo State director of public prosecutions.
The defendants are facing a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, murder and negligent acts causing harm.

In an Instagram post on Friday morning, Felix-Adejumo assured that God would not let Silekunola down.
“I was in Ibadan Nigeria to visit @queen_silekunolanaomi_ogunwusi. This also shall pass… Psalm 46. God is our refuge and strength, a very Present Help in trouble,” she wrote.
Silekunola enjoys a cordial relationship with Felix-Adejumo. Last year, she was at the 60th birthday celebration of the clergywoman at the headquarters of Agape Christian Ministries in Akure, Ondo State.
