Nigerian comedian Emeke Erem, also known as Ajebo comedian, recently shared some financial advice with Nigerian artistes.
Instead of spending large amounts of money on luxury cars in 2025, he suggested that they should consider pooling their resources to build gigantic halls with capacities ranging from 20,000 to 50,000.
Ajebo pointed out that Nigerian artistes often perform in large arenas abroad but struggle to find suitable venues in Nigeria, with only Eko Hotel offering a standard arena that can accommodate 6000 people at a time.
He believes that investing in such venues will provide a much higher return on investment for Nigerian artistes in the long run.
The comedian wrote on his Instagram stories:
“Our artistes perform in arenas and Gigantic halls all over the world but when they come home, apart from Eko Hotel(6000 Cap) there are no standard arenas for concerts.
We can’t tell them how to spend their money but if 2/3 of them decide to put funds together, rather buying luxury cars in 2025, they can build a 20-50k capacity Venue and 100x their investment.”
