The CAF has revealed that the prize money for the 2024 African Championship, CHAN, will be increased.
The winner of the competition, hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, will receive $3.5 million, a 75% increase from the previous edition in Algeria.
The total prize money for the tournament has been raised to $10.4 million, a 32% increase.
So far, 17 countries have qualified for the event.
The draw ceremony will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on January 15, and the competition will run from February 1 to February 28, 2025.
