Victor Osimhen reportedly punches journalist in Turkey

Osimhen Explains Dedication on the Pitch for Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker currently playing for Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, is facing accusations of assaulting a journalist in Istanbul, Turkey during a night out with friends.

The incident occurred as Osimhen was leaving an entertainment venue, where reporters, including journalist Tolga Bozduman, attempted to take photos of him. The situation quickly turned chaotic, according to reports from Posta Newspaper.

Bozduman said: “I filmed Osimhen at the door with three of my colleagues.

“When the flashes went off, all hell broke loose. He ran towards me, screaming. He tried to take my camera away from me, but I didn’t let him.

“The punch he threw hit me in the head. My right side still hurts. He then started swearing.

“Then he offered, ‘Destroy the footage, I’ll give you money.’ When I refused, he threatened me by saying, ‘I’ll destroy you.’”

Bozduman’s claims have not been officially addressed by the player or Galatasaray yet.

Despite the off-field controversy, Osimhen has been performing well on the field, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists in 19 matches for the Turkish club.
